Chapter 4 (oh look I almost stopped writing this sh*t)

Doorways When the Illrs arrived in Englyn they settled at the foot of the cliffs at Goor along the Western Sea. No one knew where they came from and no one paid them any attention. The cliffs separated them from the rest of the inhabitants, and they were quiet and kept to themselves. They lived a solitary life for many years, mainly surviving on a fisherman's lifestyle, but it is believed, and this is just here-say,  that their leader, Pauve, received a vision of the goddess Skapa, the creator, coming out of the sea on golden rays of light forming the land and the water and the sky to her liking. Once her creation was complete she held it out to Pauve. He came to believe this meant he and his people were entitled to Skapa's creation, the whole world, as though she had made it all for the Illrs. They reeked havoc on the Lagoons, massacring the whole population of Mer-people. They advanced on the Elf kingdom that laid deep within the caves below Goor. But instead of an...

Chapter 3 (Am I still writing this?)

Betrayal It was a little past mid-day. The sun still burned bright in the sky over the open dirt plain. Silence flew over the mountain ranges and through the tree branches of the wood. There was a stillness about the place, an unsealing calmness that slowly gnawed away at confidence. Far off a babbling stream was the only sound for miles. This place was bewitching. A million thoughts raced through Unn's mind. She'd been part of the Queen's Legion since the age of  six. She'd been educated in the strategies of war, combat training, and to live by her instincts, but above all else loyalty was ingrained in her. Her actions of this day had ultimately caused her to turn her back on that virtue. Or maybe she'd found something more important to be loyal to. She needed a plan, no matter how foolish. Despite her extensive training and knowledge of a well planned strategy, nothing seemed to fit together in Unn's mind. She'd have to figure something out eventu...

Chapter 2 (I try to have good grammar, I'm not perfect)

Ronald I'm not sure what I believe in. Most of my life I just assumed there was nothing. Choosing a belief never played a role in my life. It never dawned on me that there could be something out there that would have an actual effect on me. I am no one. I attended The First Baptist Meetinghouse in town every Sunday with my parents, from birth and on. I stopped going about a year ago and now that I'm eighteen my parents have quit trying to make me go. I know it breaks my mother's heart, but I just can't sit among the avid believers when I am the complete opposite. I used to enjoy going to Sunday service, the music, the singing, the dancing, and especially the sermons. When I was a kid, I loved hearing the preacher talk about redemption, forgiveness and the love of God. But as I got older I started to hear the parts about hell, sin and damnation. Now I don't listen at all. Even when I went to church, when I was younger, I don't think I believed then, I just l...

Chapter 1 (dear god, I hope no one sees this)

Outland Two frosty gray eyes peered through the shrubs as the scene before them played out. A school bus, clearly out of place rumbled down the abandoned dirt road. The driver obviously missed the old sign stating NO TRESPASSING BEYOND THIS POINT, when he chose to make that turn down this dead end path. He had made a wrong turn some where, but his decision to make this final turn was the biggest mistake of all. It would cost him everything, and everything of the eight students on board. Their field trip had quickly turned from boring to worse when, without knowing, that driver had doomed them all. Miles from civilization they had crossed the border between reality and fantasy. Those students' parents far away safe in their homes and at their jobs had no idea that morning would be the last time they would see their children. The bus careening down the road, kicking up dust, suddenly its tires blew, all reception and connection lost. The sun high in sky heating the metal vehic...
